Historic Barn to be Preserved A stone barn erected in 1842 will be preserved and renovated into an extraordinary meeting space at HCC’s Belmont Conference Center. A team of historic preservation experts coordinated by architectural firm Ayers Saint Gross are exploring ways to repair deterioration and feature the original designs of the historic barn. Adjoining wooden structures, which are not historic, will be replaced with a structure that showcases the barn and provide sweeping views of the Belmont estate. The new structure will contain meeting rooms, classrooms and a teaching kitchen for HCC’s culinary and hospitality management program.
