Q. What is the benefit of having hospitality students at Belmont?

A.

Belmont is an ideal lab school for students in HCC’s hospitality and culinary management program. Students can get real-world experience and the conference center gets staffing assistance. The demand for hospitality workers is high in our area, so the program is helping meet a community need.

Students are very enthusiastic about their experiences at Belmont. The president of HCC’s hospitality club said Belmont “is so unique because we actually get to see what goes on at the conference center as well helping to run it. Hands on learning adds so much to a class, and this experience had been wonderful.” Another student said Belmont “gives us the chance to work with leading professionals in the industry and expose us to the different aspects of hospitality, such as event coordinating and culinary management.”

Hospitality leaders strongly support the educational program at Belmont. Click here to read comments.
